手織り 三河木綿 展示会
9月12日. 岡崎市美術館へ手織り三河木綿の展示会を
見に行きました。この展示会の主催者は三河木綿保存会
で、会長は高木宏子さんです。岡崎市教育文化賞も受賞
されています。この岡崎地域はかつて日本有数の木綿の
産地でしたが時代の流れとともに衰退してしまいました。
この木綿を使って着物を作っていたのです。高木さんは
着物素材としての三河木綿を復元しています。200年前
の資料をもとに忠実に復元しています。

of the exhibition of the
homespun Mikawa cotton
to the Okazaki City museum.
The promoter of this
exhibition is a Mikawa
cotton save meeting and the
chairman is Mrs.Hiroko
Takagi. An Okazaki City
education culture prize
is won,too.
This Okazaki area was
to do the production center
being of the eminent cotton
in Japan formerly but
had declined with
the flow in the times.
It was making clothing
using this cotton. Mrs.takagi
is restoring Mikawa cotton
as the clothing material.
It is restoring faithfully
based on the material 200
years before.
